I don’t know why i signed up, after hearing all the blab from SXSW, i figured i missed the bandwagon, but i’m on there putting my daily business up on there. I do kind of like it becuase of it’s limit, the 140 characters.

One thing I wish you could do is put *private* inside of it, then either yourself or personal firends could only see it.

p.s. whenever you post something to twitter it’s called a twit, is there some underlying meaning to that? huh twitter people?

    I think the limit is 160 chars not 140.

    I was wrong earlier; it is 140 - but that’s merely a client-side restriction. The API lets you use upto 250 chars. See the 1st comment here for details: http://camplesegroup.com/blog/?p=608

    yeah i noticed it was different on twitterific(160?) but on twitter it’s 140 for me on safari and 153? on twidget.

    haven’t gone into the api, but i figured they are using a string instead of a textfield in the db so it should be maxxed at 256.
